The Unit is headed by Mr. Narh Tetteh. The
Examination, Information and Communication Technology, Basic Design and
Technology, Science and Mathematics, Culture, Private Schools, Physical
Education, Guidance and Counseling Coordinators and Circuit Supervisors fall
under this Unit. The Monitoring and Supervision conducts intensive and
follow-up school visits to ensure effective teaching and learning. They again
conduct specific assessment tests such as Performance Monitoring Test, vet,
analyse, and write reports on inspections and tests.
The Unit in collaboration with the Human Resource
Management and Development organise District Teacher Support Services,
recommend the transfer and posting of teachers and organise in-service training
programmes to ensure effective and efficient teaching of subjects and topics
that teachers may find to be challenging.
